Our services...

IME/DME

CR35

All evaluations are filmed with the camera mounted on a fixed tripod. Any special rules that are stipulated are adhered to (provided we have a copy of the stipulation). During the exam, capturing both the clients and examiners actions on film is the focus.

We have built a reputation in which certain examiners have requested that if they were to be filmed, Hampton Videography is their choice of service. Our goal is to ensure that the examiners, clients, and legal nurse consultants (if in attendance) can focus on their roles in during the evaluation without worrying about what the camera sees.

Due to the changes that incurred during the Covid-19 crisis, virtual recording of examinations, via Zoom or other virtual teleconferencing services, is done with an independent screen capturing software. What we see on our screen is what  we capture for you.

With the recent enactment of Washington HB 1068 - 2023-24 concerning the filming of Workers Compensation/ L&I claims, IME locations and examiners are requiring professional videographers to film these exams due to the fact that we understand what can be filmed and what cannot be filmed on site. This protects all parties involved in the exam from any other potential legal issues.

Depositions

Depositions are vital pieces to any legal case. Filming a deposition not only captures what is being said but also captures the tone, facial expressions, and nuances of the deponent whereas an audio-only recording will miss these often subtle body changes. We capture these changes for you.

As stated above, with the Covid-19 crisis, recording Zoom or other teleconferencing services is done with an independent screen capturing software. The deponent is the main person on the screen and, with Zoom, is "pinned" to remain the focal point.

A new addition to our company is Transcript-Video Matching. This is where we take the pages of the deposition transcript and match it with the videos audio track. This feature allow members of the courtroom to better follow along the deposition video with references to the exact location of the dialogue in the transcript.

Archive of Video: Original video will be kept in accordance to Washington State Superior Court Civil Rules CR 30 Section (8) Subsection (H) which states the following:

...Unless otherwise agreed by the parties on the record, the operator shall retain custody of the original videotape. The custodian shall store it under conditions that will protect it against loss or destruction or tampering, and shall preserve as far as practicable the quality of the tape and the technical integrity of the testimony and images it contains. The custodian of the original videotape shall retain custody of it until 6 months after final disposition of the action, unless the court, on motion of any party and for good cause shown, orders that the tape be preserved for a longer period.

...and more

Need help with other evidentiary videos to build a stronger case? "Day in Life", incident site conditions, witness statements, forensic investigations, and more. All of which can assist you with adding additional strength to your case.

If there are other ways that a videographer can assist with building your case, just ask. Thinking outside of the box and finding new ways to improve is what we strive to do for you.
